February Visit to San Antonio

The evening of the snow day, we went to San Antonio to visit my parents and Andrew was invited to Lillian's 3rd birthday party that Saturday. We drove down Friday night and the roads were clear.

Saturday morning, we got up and went to Lillian's 3rd birthday party! We got to meet baby John for the first time and Andrew got to see his friend Lillian. I also got to see my favorite friends, the Fullers/ Fergusons. Andrew really enjoyed the balls and the bounce house. Brad got in with him and I took pictures. What a good daddy!

Saturday afternoon, Andrew took a nap. When he woke up, Mom, Dad, Brad, Andrew, and I all headed to the rodeo! Andrew has some awesome cowboy gear! When Andrew was born, Rick, my brother, got him his first cowboy belt buckle. Who knew about a year later, he would be wearing it! Mom and Dad got him his first pair of wrangles and cowboy western shirts. They also got him a belt to wear his belt buckle on. Mom got him some cowboy boots with soft soles. My brother, Rick, got him real cowboy boots for Christmas, but he will have to get a little bit bigger before he can wear them. Dad lent him his hat from time to time during our trip to the rodeo. Andrew really loves all hats now.

We went to the kids area of the rodeo so Andrew could see all of the animals. He got to see pigs, sheep, goats, horses, cows, and chicks. He loved the animals. He would put his hand through the fence to pet them when he was far away from them. When he was close enough to pet them, he wouldn't put his hand in the fence to pet them. He was very excited and laughing the whole time! Mimi even touched the animals to see if Andrew would touch them. He liked watching other people touch them. Andrew tried funnel cake for the first time too. He enjoyed it a lot! I think he had a great time with Mimi and Grampy at the rodeo. He is our little cowboy!
