Busy, Busy Boy

Andrew has been really busy this week! We had an ENT appointment, a cranial technologies appointment, and his six month check-up! All the appointments went well. Andrew's hearing is now within the normal range and we go back to the ENT in six months. His head is beginning to correct itself, so we are hoping he doesn't have to wear the helmet for eight months. His six month check-up was a breeze (compared to the 4 month check-up). Dr. Yaeger says he is doing really well. He is a big boy and growing up fast. He is 18 lbs. 12 oz. and 28 1/4 inches long. He has not had an antibiotic in about a month and we went over three weeks without going to the doctor's office. Andrew had his six month shots and is doing okay. He is usually a little cranky and doesn't feel good the first 24-48 hours after his shots. Hopefully he'll be feeling better tomorrow. He has had to take some Tylenol for a low grade fever, but he'll be feeling better soon.

In addition to all the doctor visits, Andrew has been playing a lot. He received a beautiful tool box and a rattle from his GREAT Uncle Kurt and Aunt Nora! Kurt made the rattle (tool) and the tool box. It is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice! He tried to chew on it and even christened it by spitting up a little on it. He seems to need to spit up on everything!

Andrew also woke Mimi up from a nap and went out to eat at Outback Steakhouse with Mimi, Aunt Heather, Uncle Carlos, and Uncle Rick. Andrew enjoyed his sweet potatoes, prunes, and cereal while we were at Outback. He is really into playing with the lids of the containers. I have been washing them and letting him play with them in his high chair.

Today Andrew went to a 1st birthday party for Bennett. It was at a park. The theme was the circus! The decorations were adorable. There were lots of little boys at this birthday party ranging in age from 6 months to about 2 years old. There was only one little girl! Guess it is time for for more girl babies!! Karen (my cousin) and Kristen (my friend) are both having little girls!

We hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

(Brad asked if I posed Andrew for these pictures. I didn't... He loves the camera!)
