We can't complain too much because it really was a great week! We had a farewell dinner for Heather on Wednesday. Heather and Carlos just moved to Atlanta. Mom, Dad, Heather, and Rick came over for dinner on Wednesday.
On Thursday Andrew got a Halloween package from Nee and Paw. He loved opening it! He did not want to unwrap the gifts, but he loved pulling out all of the newspaper and tissue paper. Andrew especially loves to get a piece of paper in his hand and crawl away from you as soon as possible. He finds that quite humorous! I guess I do too since I crawl behind him and we both end of cracking up and laying on the floor. Andrew's favorite gifts from Nee and Paw were the wooden snail and the Mizzou football that plays the fight song and says "Go Tigers". Andrew really enjoyed playing with his snail during naked time. My favorite gift was the Mizzou jogging outfit.
On Saturday we took Andrew to the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Dallas. They set up a pumpkin patch where the kids can pick pumpkins. They have pumpkins all over the Arboretum. We had so much fun taking pictures of Andrew! I think Andrew enjoyed crawling around and hitting the pumpkins. He got a big pumpkin and a small pumpkin. In the pumpkin patch they even a house made of pumpkins. Brad and I LOVE the pictures of Andrew because the Arboretum has such a set up to take pictures.
Today we had chores to do, so Andrew got to wear his new Jackson Hole Hoody from Grampy and Mimi when we went to the grocery story. He helped me mop, vacuum, sweep, and clean up toys. Well, I held him while I did most of this because he was a little crabby this afternoon. He did try to hold the cord to the vacuum while I vacuumed. We did manage two oatmeal baths (for the diaper rash) and a lot of playtime. Brad got out his wooden tracker trailer that he got for Christmas last year from Casey, Dave, Jacob, Nathan, and Mary-Elizabeth. He really liked it and enjoyed banging it into the cabinets!
Well, another week ends and the next one begins... Hopefully we will get rid of the diaper rash this week! I am sure we will have more adventures to share with you soon!
Have a great week!
Love the pumpkin patch! We don't have those here...I miss them! In fact, it may be hard going to even find a pumpkin this year. None of the stores have them yet. What will I do without pumpkin pie?!? Erin
