Chores At The Willson's

This was a LONG work week for both Brad and me. Brad was out of town on business and the students at my school were a bit crazy this past week. AHH! Thank goodness today was a holiday! My mom was here on Wednesday and stayed with Andrew. Mimi took Andrew to get his school picture taken. The pictures turned out really cute! Then Mimi took Andrew shopping and got him some really cute outfits and pajamas. He is wearing a pair of the pajamas in this picture. Mimi and Andrew played the rest of the day and Andrew even took a two hour nap for Mimi! Andrew also got an early Halloween present from Mimi and Grampy! He got a black cat dressed as a witch. The cat is holding a jack-o-lantern. The cat's eyes light up green and the jack-o-lantern lights up too! The cat also sings "Black Magic Woman" and Andrew is in love with the cat, especially it's whiskers!

Andrew hasn't been feeling really well, so we took it easy this weekend. He stopped eating and drinking, so we went to the doctor today. He is in a good mood, but has been throwing up and is really congested. Dr. Yaeger decided he may have a sinus infection, so he is on an antibiotic. It could also be a really bad cold, but since this has been going on for over a month and Andrew has allergies, he decided we needed to rule some things out.

Although we have been trying to take it easy, Andrew has been very busy at our house! He has been chewing on his crib and the table you see in the picture above...There is something about wood he just loves! We had to order a special cover for his crib to stop him from gnawing on it. My brother, Rick, would say it is just another thing babies and dogs have in common! Ha!

Andrew also helped me bake cookies over the weekend. He really liked using the spatula. He tried a cookie (he actually grabbed a piece out of my hand), but did not like it. I am going to assume that is because he has been sick... I can't believe that a child of mine would turn down a cookie. Andrew also spent time coloring. We are working putting the crayon on the paper and not in our mouth. He colors some at school, so I decided we could try it at home. He seems to like it!

Today he really enjoyed playing with his toys, especially his maracas from Uncle Kurt and Aunt Nora. He also found a love for swiffering. He pushed the swiffer all around the kitchen floor and then he tried to put it in his mouth. Don't worry, I was able to intervene at just the right time. (Thank Goodness!!) He is working on giving kisses. Sometimes he is really in the mood to give kisses and other times, he is not. This afternoon he was giving kisses to his favorite stuffed animal, gorilla. When Andrew gives kisses, he opens his mouth really big and puts his tongue on whatever he is giving a kiss to. I am excited that today he would give gorilla a kiss when I said,, "Give gorilla a kiss." He thought he was so cool! He gives us kisses too (when he feels like it).

Andrew crawls under this one side table that we have. Tonight he was trying to get between it and the couch....He is a little big for that. He even has to duck when he is crawling under the table or he hits his head. We have a few battle wounds. This weekend he fell when he was holding onto Minnie's princess bed and scratched his face. It was even bleeding. Today he crawled under the kitchen chairs and bumped his head and has a little purple bruise on his head.

Andrew still loves windows!! He loves to bang on them and lick them. Andrew is trying really hard to walk... He pulls up and can walk in the bathtub, down the side of the couch, and when you are holding his hands. Today is the first day he really wanted to walk while holding your hands. He is growing up so fast! We are so glad that we have the opportunity to share it with all of you!

Have a great week!
