Andrew's San Antonio Adventures

This week Andrew and I are in San Antonio visiting my mom. Brad is in New York on a business trip. This time our airport experience was much smoother. Our flight was on time and we did not have to wait 7 hours for a flight. Andrew did throw a little fit when we got on the plane because he wanted to get down on the floor, so he ended up playing with the throw up bag for a few minutes. I was a little worried about how the flight would go, but as soon as the plane's engines turned on, Andrew wanted his bottle and he was out for a little nap. My mom was waiting for us when we arrived. All of our luggage made it to San Antonio and Andrew did not have a major meltdown on the plane. He did really well!

Andrew is really trying hard to crawl! Mom and I have been working with him on it this week. He is doing the army crawl really well. Tonight he was actually on his knees and hands, but could not go forward. Each day he is getting closer and closer to crawling. We are going to enjoy the last moments of his inability to move... Thank goodness we have done a little baby proofing already.

We also took Andrew swimming one day and he really liked it. He loves the water! Mimi (my mom) did scare him when she went under water and came up to surprise him. He screamed so loud!
Beau loves being with Andrew. He cries when he is in the laundry room and Andrew is in the family room. He wants to be next to him all the time. Today I let him in the family room and then we went to my mom's room. My mom was laying in bed and I put Andrew in bed. Beau jumped (more like walked) onto the bed and laid down. He kept inching his way closer and closer to Andrew. He is very protective of Andrew.

Toni came over to see Andrew and we all played with him for a while until it was time for his nap. We got him a jump-a-roo for my parents house. He loves it and has spent some quality time in it already. It is great for him when I need to take a quick shower or dry my hair. I don't have to worry about him pulling on the dust ruffle in my room or rolling under the bed.
We took Andrew shopping a couple of times. Today I was holding him as we were looking around the store and I felt something warm all over my shirt. I looked down and saw a liquid dropping to the floor of the store. Finally I put it all together... Andrew was peeing on me! I rushed him to the dressing room and changed his diaper and clothes immediately. Mom and I were trying hard not to laugh too much. Andrew's diaper had moved to one side when I was carrying him on my hip. Who knew as a parent you would deal with so much poop and pee!

Tomorrow we are going to visit with Stacey and Lillian. We've really enjoyed playing with Andrew and having a relaxing week. We will be here until Saturday, so there are more adventures to come...
